Hi Jiggs
I keep listening to Radio Big Band on BBC Radio 2 every Monday night and all I can say is WOW!!
I hope you listen occasionally to the I Remember Stan album which you recorded with the Shades in 1991 and before that the live recording of the Midnight Concert at the Queens Hall at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival.
If those memories are long forgotten you can always visit us at www.myspace.com/theshadesjazzorchestra
Best wishes

Dear Jiggs I just bought your signature series King 2B and love it. After playing a lot of horns over the years, including several 2Bs and 3 Bs, this is the one I have been searching for. Can't say enough good things about it. Joe Thompson-jazz musician-St. Louis

Dear Jiggs,
Thank you for coming to Warwick to spend a whole with our boys. Your inspiration and Charisma is infectious! The boys loved every minute of the day and learnt so much from you. You are a musicians’ musician – dedicated, passionate and above so giving of your experience and energy to young people. I personally have been touched by your warmth andI have picked up lots of tips from your jazz/Big Band rehearsals.
Thanks.

Hello Jiggs: Just found your website and was going through your 2008 schedule. Wow, people in Germany, England and elsewhere in Europe sure are lucky. I think it's time that you bring one of your Big Bands to Canada and the US, because you would be a real big success in North America. Anyway, I look forward to hearing you in Port Townsend this summer, Paul Brooke, North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Hi Mr. Whigham,
I really enjoyed the three instructional videos on YouTube. Clear and to the point. Also came across "The Way We Were" and loved it! Real sweet and heartfelt. Hope we'll get to meet one day. Thanks again and all the best.
Warmly,
Gerard Carelli

Hello Jiggs, I'll hopefully be seeing you at Night Town in Cleveland; where I've come rolling in every Friday for 6 years now. You have made this ol' Brush Arch and all of us from '61 so very proud with your gift... Thank you, and thank you for wonderful moments on Anderson Road too, when one could leave the noisy and busy world behind, to pick up and soon enjoy, some of those fresh and tasty vegetables from... Just had to say how much I enjoyed the show on Saturday in Edinburgh in the tribute to Basie. A really wonderful night and I loved the number you did on trombone with Jamie Davis. The band sounded better than ever. Look forward to next year when I hope you will be back!
Best wishes

It was great fun taping your lessons for StarsTeachMusic.com and finally meeting you after being a fan for many years. I'm sure students will find the lessons as insightful and informative as I did. The chemistry you and Dick Nash had during your session together was very apparent on camera. Hope to see you soon.
All the best,

"Jiggs - you are truly one of the great jazz artists on this earth! Listening to your music is like entering another world full of musical expression, sophisticated rhythm and pure, straightforward, honest sentiment, all based on and mixed with your unmistakable technique. Don´t know how you do it, but you play that thing as if it was an integral part of you. The only question is - can you hold a candle to my all-time favorite trombone player Urbie Green?? :) Greetings from an eternal fan of yours. Angelika".
